Since 1922, the Faust family has been manufacturing inks for the artist and commercial engraving communities.  Our research department continually implements the latest technologies to maintain innovative leadership in these specialized ink fields.  In addition, we carry an extensive line of supplies and etching presses.

ETCHING INKS – A vegetable/oleoresinous, solvent free mixture and finely ground pigments provide the backbone for these inks.  They are especially known for their “buttery” consistency with slip and ease of wipe for fine line work on zinc or copper plates.  Our pigments are both intense and of the most permanent nature.  Packaging is in 4 ounce tubes and 1 pound cans.  Color charts and price lists are available.

RELIEF INKS - These inks contain a blend of carefully selected resins and pigments which require no hazardous labeling.  The consistency of these inks, along with extended open time and easy water clean-up, provide excellent results in block printing.  Packaging is in 50 ml. and 1 pound jars.  Color charts and price lists are available.

Our water based Relief Inks have been granted the “AP” seal by the Art & Creative Materials Institute, Inc.  “Products bearing the AP Approved Product Seal of ACMI are certified in a program of toxicological evaluation by a medical expert to contain no materials in sufficient quantities to be toxic or injurious to humans or to cause acute or chronic health problems.  This program is reviewed by ACMI’s Toxicological Advisory Board.  These products are certified by ACMI to be labeled in accordance with the chronic hazard labeling standard, ASTM D 4236 and Federal law, P.L. 100-695.  In addition, there is no physical hazard as defined within CFR Part 1910.1200 (c).”

Shipments of etching presses and plates are billed and shipped FOB our plant in New Jersey.  Etching Inks, Relief Inks and related supplies carry a $5.99 shipping and handling charge for invoices below $25, no charge at $25 or higher level within the continental US, FOB to all other locations.
